It is a fine name for a hotel, which was once a country house. Two previous owners of that house are still in residence as ghosts. However, are described as ‘Quite benign’. They are the Mesdames Heseltine and de Rougemont. At times, there have been sounds of a grandfather clock ticking in a room where there is no such clock, with the sound of a loud and merry party. All sounds cease when a person enters the room. However, it is clear that it is the two women and friends celebrating.
