The Lion Hotel
High Street, Buckden, Huntingdonshire
In a Grade II listed building this impressive 15th century inn has a Great Hall with a log-burning fireplace from that period. The inn exhibits ghostly manifestations. These include the Lady in Grey who parades through the hall leaving a lingering smell of lavender. Locals think that she is associated with an accident in the old coach entrance when a coach went through the middle of the frontage of the hotel. Some years later, a coach pulling into that same narrow entrance crushed another young woman crushed to death. She now haunts the rear of the building.
