This is a fine, old, former coaching inn. The Hardwick Arms haunted by a series of ghosts with poltergeists over many years. One of the guest rooms exhibits ghostly manifestations. It is the ghost of a woman wearing a red dress. Witnesses see her sitting at a dressing table. Whenever a member of staff enters the room, she looks up, with then disappears. By the fireplace in the bar, an aged monk in a black habit has appeared many times. He has been visible for several seconds at a time, before gliding into a nearby wall. A wicked poltergeist has frequently been active in the dining room.
