The Old Garrison
Campfield Rd, Shoeburyness, Southend-On-Sea, Essex, Southend-on-Sea
This hostelry was initially build in 1898, as a healing centre for the troops and their families. So, a ghost regularly seen behind the bar by both punters and staff alike is that of a man wearing a dated white medical coat. As for other ghosts, in the 1990s, the previous supervisor of this hostelry was frequently astounded in light of the fact that he could hear kids playing in the outside opening hours. He found that when he opened the door at the base of the bar's stairs, the spooky sound of the ghost kids playing constantly halted! One day a panicked odd job man refused to work in the bar area, after he saw nebulous visions of spooky youngsters in Victorian attire playing in there.
