The Plumbers Arms
Wickham St, Denston, Newmarket, Suffolk
An early 19th century building, the Plumbers Arms now has a Second-grade listing, with a fine Mansard roof. It haunted for many years by noisy poltergeists. Pictures have been ripped away from walls although no one was nearby, with a piano , commentators have heard, playing in an empty room. During the night there , commentators have heard, the sound of heavy footsteps. However, again, there is no one to be seen. One of the bedrooms exhibits ghostly manifestations. these include an elderly man who suddenly appears sitting in a chair before disappearing.
