The Seven Stars
West Street, Hucknall, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Named after a 17th century religious song, the pub name also has reference to the Virgin Mary and the Worshipful Company of Innholders. Members of staff here have reported being tapped on the shoulder when no one was close to them. The public house was investigated by the Ghosts of Nottingham research team. They reported that the Seven Stars exhibits ghostly manifestations. these include a soldier from the Second World War, who had been a customer here and lived next door to it. It appeared from their contact with the ghost he had been killed by a bomb in a German bombing raid whilst at home on leave.
