The Brunswick Inn
1 Railway Terrace, Derby, Derbyshire
Some pubs with this name pertain to the German Duke of Brunswick. He lived in England for many years. He died on the British side at the Battle of Waterloo. It is an extremely plain pub. It appears to be late Georgian or early Victorian in its red brick style. There are stories that it is haunted by a worker who died on the railway. People brought his body this establishment. Here, doctors pronounced him dead. Reports have also said that it haunted by the Duke of Brunswick himself. From the description of the ghost that haunts the Brunswick, it would fit either that duke or the dead railway worker.
