At this six centuries old town pub, there , people say, to be two ghosts, both haunting the bedrooms. Over twenty years ago, the pub was not open for three years, with paranormal groups offered to stay and cleanse the place. However, were unsuccessful. One previous proprietor of the Ship Hotel killed himself by jumping from an upstairs window. There are reports to be still in residence as a ghost. Another phantom, apparently a solid form, brushes past people as they walk up the stairs. One room , witnesses describe, as having a disturbing atmosphere, with people are fearful of sleeping in there.
