This pub someone named after the winner of the 1872 Derby, Cremorne, which was owned by a local man, Captain Henry Savile. A wicked indwell at the Cremorne pub is Wally, who had worked as a cellar-man and who came to an untimely end. He spends a fair amount of time throwing bottles about in the cellar, with decorative items from walls. In May 1941, during the Second World War, the area was bombed by German aircraft. A woman, living in a caravan behind the pub, expired and her ghost is observed immediately outside the Cremorne. When she manifests, she is wearing a large domestic overall with a tie tape at the front, with her hair is tied back under a headscarf.
