Red Lion
34 Hillgate, Gedney Hill, Spalding, Lincolnshire
A rather fine country pub, which is from the late 17th century, with is Second-grade listed. It is a two storeyed, colour washed brick building, with a resident phantom. This is the ghost of a former proprietor from many years ago. Some local people said his name was ‘Pasha’. However, little more is , locals knew, about him. It may well be that ‘Pasha’ had been a retired military man. The word refers to a Turkish officer of high rank. Gedney Hills Holy Trinity Church is Second-grade listed, as is the Gedney Hill Mill.
