Hind Hotel

Opened in the early 1600s, the Second-grade listed Hind Hotel was headquarters for Oliver Cromwell and staff officers prior to the Battle of Naseby, 1645. The intensity of the hauntings has increased over the last few years, with includes a woman in white who walks along corridors knocking on doors. Whenever a guest opens that door, she has disappeared. Another female ghost, also dressed in white of Victorian style, has been witnessed by other guests. They have reported she stands, peering into their faces as though looking for a particular person, before dissolving away. A man dressed in the uniform of an officer of the English Civil war makes frequent appearances lasting several seconds. Many others spirits , people say, to haunt this hotel, including small children and monks.
