The Brazen Head
20 Bridge Street Lower, Dublin 8
This hostelry is the oldest in Dublin. It possibly dates back to the end of the twelfth century. A Robert Emmet supposedly haunts it. Authorities hanged and decapitated him on 20 September 1803. Witnesses see him on the upper floors. There is a momentary feeling of a spectre watching you.
